Tip Thursday - Healthy Ends

Hey beauties,

Sorry this tip is a bit late, but as the saying goes, better late than never! And this tip is worth the wait!

Tired of your ends looking dull and lifeless! Change up your routine by rinsing out your conditioner with cold water this will lock in the shine and seal the cuticles of your ends!

TIP only ever put conditioner on the ends of your hair, conditioner is heavy, too much of it will weigh your hair down, making it lack in volume!

Hope you guys enjoyed this little tip, please follow my blog for more! Giveaway at 50 followers:)

Tip Tuesday - Eggshells

Hello everyone,

So annoying when you get eggshells in your mix.....right? Well no more use one half of you cracked eggshell to scoop out  the bits of shell!

I always break my eggs into a separate bowl first so i don't miss any but if you happen to lose a broken eggshell in your batter don't worry, eggshells sink to the bottom of the cake when the cake is cooked, simply turn your cooked cake over and pick off the eggshells!

Hope you guys enjoyed this tip, please follow my blog for many more! Giveaway at 50 followers:).

Happy baking!

TIP Thursday - liquid eyeliner

Hello beauties,
Hope your all well, lets talk eyeliner! For many many years i could not put on liquid eyeliner, i could not master it at all! Until i found this very easy method so i thought i would share it with you guys,

Its the 3 stripe method, keep your eye open when applying eyeliner otherwise your line wont be straight, then draw a little dash from the inner corner then a dash in the centre then the outer corner, then join them up, bit like dot to dot except well this is lines:)

And never pull on your eye, this creates an uneven wobbly line and will cause premature wrinkles!

Hope you guys found this as helpful as i did cause lets face it eyeliner is a scary process hehe! Please follow my blog let me know of any requests, giant oreo cake recipe and tutorial coming up so stay tuned, giveaway at 50 followers:)

Stacking cakes makes such a lovely creation and when done properly creates a masterpiece! Their are two main things you need for stacking cakes, dowels and even cake layers!

There are so many ways to level a cake, you can buy a cake leveller, use a serrated knife and so on......

Once your cakes appear level double check by placing your cake on a flat surface and taking a clean spirit level and placing it on the top of your cake! You will soon know if your cake is level or not!
Hope you guys enjoyed this tip, please follow my blog and let me know if you have any requests, ill be doing a giveaway at 50 followers so stay tuned!

Tip Thursday - Fake tan

Hey beauties

Todays tip thursday is going to be all about fake tan dos and donts.....

Firstly as many of you are probably aware the key to false tanning is prepping and the first thing you need to do is exfoliate, exfoliate and exfoliate some more! You cannot exfoliate enough especially those dry areas aka knees, elbow, feet....you know the drill!

Secondly moisturise.....slap a bit of moisturiser on all those dry patches, tan tends to cling on to these place so any dry spots moisturise them first!

We are now ready to apply, use a mitt or gloves and work from the legs up (missing out the feet for now) use light circular motions and use the excess from your gloves to go over knees, elbows, feet e.t.c apply a pea sized amount to you face blending it into your neck and hairline! Take off your gloves a put  a pea sized amount on one hand, rub both of the back of your hands together, and use the excess to blend it in to your fingers!

Finally take a dry wash cloth and buff places the tan may cling too like the knees, elbows e.t.c TIP take a cotton bud for smaller areas, acne scars also like to cling onto the tan, for a more even skin tone, use your cotton bud to buff the tan around acne scars!

Maintenance, moisturise all over daily to ensure the tan comes off evenly and does not flake, exfoliate gently after 3 days of applying the tan and again moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!

Stay tuned for my top tanning products and DIY exfoliator! Please follow and share, giveaway at 50 followers:)

Happy tanning!

Nyx Winter in Moscow silver grey smokey look

Hey beauties,
So i know its not autumn / winter yet but it is fast approaching and i cannot wait! There is something about autumn and winter fashion and makeup that i love and i cannot wait to get the boots, cardigans and wooly jumpers out!

Nyx winter in Moscow palette is great for all year round, but in the summer months i neglect it for more neutral shades, but i have dug this bad boy back out and don't  know why i haven't been using it all year round i love it!

Please excuse the wear and tear of mine.....this palette lasts forever. This is a great kit and is inexpensive, i think i paid around £20 for mine and you get 14 amazing eyeshadows that last all day and have great pigmentation, 2 blushes, 5 lip glosses and 3 applicators. Lets get detailed!

As you can see this palette is amazing, all you need for a fab look, lets start on the left the blushes, you get 2 blushes a light pink and a coral these have a little bit of shimmer just enough to make that dry winter skin glow without making you look like a disco ball, both colours are highly pigmented and last all day! You only need a sprinkle of these on your brush!

Next the lip glosses, you get 5 beautiful deep wintery colours again great pigmentation and last forever! Ive always been a fan of nyx lip products there such great quality and are so inexpensive.

And finally the eye shadows, these are the best part, 14 different colours to create amazing different looks, the possibilities are endless, they all blend so well together, the black in the far right corner is my favourite for eyeliner smooth, great colour and lasts all day! I swatch the colours from left top to bottom then right top to bottom!!

As you can see these colours are great, some have flakes of shimmer and they just look beautiful on your eyes! This kit makes it so easy to transform from day to night in a few simple steps, and in my opinion should be part of everyones collection! Once i reach 50 followers i will be doing a giveaway so please follow and  share my blog:) thank you!!

Hope you enjoyed this review.

Tip Tuesday - Folding

Hey lovelies
So todays tip is all about the mixing of your cake, once your wet ingredients are fully incorporated and your ready to add your dry ingredients.....take a spoon or spatular and create a figure 8 motion cutting through the bottom of the batter, round the edges back in the middle and again for the other side so you have a figure 8 motion!

The biggest problem in baking is a sunken cake and a stogy cake, the main reason for this is because the batter has been mixed to vigorously and the air has been knocked out!

To achieve a light and fluffy cake always cream your butter and sugar until its light and fluffy to incorporate air and gently fold in your dry ingredients to keep in and add more air!

Happy baking
